What is GDPR?

GDPR is the abbreviation for General Data Protection Regulation, the European legislation on the protection of personal data, which will be in force in all European member states from 25 May 2018. Thus, there is the obligation of every company to comply with this new regulation.

1. What data do we process and how do we obtain it?

The data provided by you

• First name and surname
• Address data, including postal code
• Fixed and/or mobile telephone number
• E-mail address(es)
• Payment and invoice data (bank details and VAT numbers)

In order to work efficiently with our (potential) customers or those of our affiliated companies and to be able to offer our services and products, we require a number of personal data from these customers. For example, when contacting us, you will be asked to provide your name, telephone number and e-mail address. We need this information to contact you and send you offers/invoices and additional administrative, commercial and/or advisory documents. Also to be able to make appointments with you to work out a proposal. These data are provided to us via a form on the website, by e-mail or by telephone. All communication that takes place via our website is encrypted so that your details are sent securely and cannot be read by third parties while being sent.

When you visit our site, we collect information in log files on our server, such as the pages visited, the IP address of your computer and the type of browser you use. We collect this information solely for the purpose of statistical analysis of visitor numbers and site traffic in order to properly scale our infrastructure so that it continues to work flawlessly. Under no circumstances will your name or address be used for this purpose.

We may use your information to inform you about existing and new products, services, special offers or we may use your information for marketing purposes in which we believe you are interested.

2.    How do we keep your data and for how long?

The data as requested by the staff of the different travel brands is recorded in our booking system Servico. It is through Servico that we send out all communications. For historical and accounting reasons, this data is kept in Servico to meet legal and/or contractual obligations. Upon simple request, we can therefore modify and/or delete all your data if you wish and if permitted by law. Your data are in no way publicly accessible and will never be.

Log files on our web servers are stored on the server itself and are protected. This makes it impossible for unauthorised third parties to access this information. This information is kept historically in order to compare visitor numbers with previous periods. This comparison also enables us to correctly assess whether our servers need to be expanded due to increased visitor numbers.

3.    Who can see your personal data and/or who obtains them?

Access to your personal information is limited to those employees who need to access it in order to fulfill the above-described purpose. This includes employees of NORDIC INFO BV, its subsidiaries and any designated processors.

Under no circumstances will your data be sold to third parties.

4.    What are your rights?

• You may at any time request to see what data we have stored about you.
• You may request corrections to this data.
• You may ask for this data to be deleted.
• You can refuse to receive direct marketing from us.
• You may refuse to allow automatic profiling.

5.    What are our obligations and how can you reach us?

In the event of a data breach, in which your data would be compromised, we have an obligation to report it. We are also obliged to respond, free of charge, to any customer requests regarding personal data within the legal time limits.
