Together with your team, you will ensure that Nordic Collection is the market leader in developing and purchasing the most innovative products.
Job description
As a contractor, you will turn your production ideas into a concrete and strategic purchasing plan. You are ultimately responsible for the full development of this purchasing plan, as well as to ensure a good information flow between the product owners and sales teams.
Your role:
- You are ultimately responsible for purchasing package tours on for Lapland in the winter, Ireland and the UK.
- You work with your teamlead and the different sales teams on a strategic production plan within the framework of our package tours for all of our markets (Flanders, Wallonia/Northern France, the Netherlands and Germany).
- To do this, you follow the trends of your destination and our markets closely. You will follow what our competitors are doing, what our different markets are asking for and what developments are happening at the destinations. Therefore, you meet with other contractors, partners, tourist services and sales teams.
- Based on the purchase plan, you will start convincing partners to work with us, regarding accommodation as well as transport and excursions.
- You will set up clear contracts and terms of cooperation with each partner around prices, quotas/guarantees, cancellation policies and billing conditions.
- You provide a clear fact sheet per partner (detailed product description, “how to book instructions”, image bank, …).
- You ensure a good information flow with the product owners, who are responsible for transforming these contracts into an operational production plan in which packages are composed, priced and programmed into our systems with text and images.
- The product owners also coordinate day-to-day operational matters with the partners, with you as the buyer being available as an intermediary for important matters or additional procurement.
- Together with the product owner, you train the travel designers around product knowledge at the start of the season. You will then be available for questions from the product owners, who will be the first point of contact with product related questions from the team. During the year you will also coordinate all necessary prospections.

- You have several years of relevant work experience in tourism as a Contractor/Product Manager.
- Knowledge and/or experience with one or more of our destinations is a plus, but not a necessity.
- You have professional oral and written communication skills in both Dutch and English (minimum level B2, preferably C1).
- You are flexible and stress-resistant. You are not deterred by the fact that you will be travelling abroad on a regular basis.
- You have a car and driver’s licence B.
